Embark on the ultimate Morocco cultural and desert experience. This 8-day journey blends the magic of Morocco’s Imperial Cities with the adventure of the Sahara Desert. You will explore both the north and the south of the country, from the Rif Mountains to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Along the way, immerse yourself in rich traditions, vibrant markets, and breathtaking landscapes.
Firstly, the tour begins in Tangier, a gateway between Europe and Africa. Then, you will travel through iconic cities, historic landmarks, and diverse natural wonders. By the end, you will have experienced Morocco’s culture, history, and desert beauty in a single unforgettable trip.
Your adventure starts in Tangier, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. This cosmopolitan city offers a mix of history and modern life. After exploring Tangier, you will head to Tetouan, a UNESCO-listed city known for its Andalusian charm and whitewashed architecture.
Next, continue to Chefchaouen, the world-famous Blue City. Its winding streets, mountain views, and unique Andalusian-Arabic heritage make it a photographer’s dream. In addition, this peaceful town is the perfect place to relax before heading into Morocco’s cultural heart.
In Fez, the oldest imperial city, history comes alive. The medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with narrow alleys, traditional souks, and centuries-old monuments. Moreover, Fez is home to Al-Qarawiyyin University, the oldest operating university in the world. Here, you will discover Moroccan craftsmanship, taste authentic dishes, and witness daily life that has remained unchanged for generations.
The journey continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains. You will visit Ifrane, known as the “Little Switzerland of Morocco,” and the majestic Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques. Then, reach Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara Desert.
From here, a camel trek takes you across the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, you arrive at a traditional Berber camp. Dinner under the stars and local music create an unforgettable desert night.
After the desert, discover the dramatic Todra Gorges and the lush Dades Valley. Both offer unique landscapes of palm groves, cliffs, and traditional villages.
Next, visit Ait-Ben-Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones (learn more here). The kasbah’s architecture and history are a highlight of the trip.
Finally, end your journey in Marrakech, Morocco’s most vibrant city. Stroll through the colorful souks, visit the Koutoubia Mosque, and enjoy the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Street performers, food stalls, and musicians create an atmosphere that reflects the soul of Morocco.

This day we will pick you up by ferry or at the airport, it is advisable to arrive in the morning... and we will head to Tetouan. A city at the foot of the Rif mountains with a beautiful Medina. Tetouan is a city that almost no one usually visits but it is a beautiful place. It's a super small city, so we'll have plenty of time to explore before heading to Chefchaouen – the charming Blue City of Morocco. It is a small city in the middle of the giant Rif mountains and with spectacular views. All the streets of the city are painted blue, and the atmosphere is very good, I see Chaouen as the hippie city of Morocco, hahaha. The Rifeños (the people there) are very different, it's like another culture. This day we can see the night souks, walk through the square and rest in the Riad.
We will pick you up at your Riad at 08:00 am. and we will set off towards Fes, we will begin to explore the city with a local guide through Bab Boujeloud, the famous Blue Gate that will take us to Talaa Kebeera. You can visit the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, the Neijarine Fountains and the famous tanneries among many other things. After lunch we will walk through the Mellah and you will have the opportunity to visit one of the few active synagogues in Morocco. We can also visit the Jnan Sbil Garden to enjoy a quiet time surrounded by plants and a hidden lake. Our last visit of the afternoon will be to the ceramic factory where you will have an unparalleled view of the Medina of Fez. At night you can rest in your Riad.
This day we leave early to the south crossing the Middle Atlas until we reach Ifrane. This is a city that will make you feel like you are outside of Morocco – it seems more like a place in Europe than in Africa. You will have time to take photographs and explore the city for a while. Once you are ready we will continue to the Cedar Forest where you can see some wild macaques and take photos and feed them. Afterwards we will go to Midelt to have lunch and rest for a while. After lunch we will cross the Ziz Valley and its immense palm grove – one if not the largest palm grove in the world. From here you will begin to feel the desert atmosphere as the landscapes begin to change when we enter Errachidia. Arriving in Merzouga where you spend the night and rest in your accommodation
After breakfast we can start exploring the Erg Chebbi Dunes. We will take the Paris-Dakar Rally road that will take us to the Tissardmin Oasis. We will continue our journey to visit the nomadic camps where you can share with them to learn a little about their customs and traditions. Our next stop is the town of Khamlia, a place where its inhabitants will steal your hearts with their friendliness. You can learn a little about Gnawa spiritual music and we will have lunch right here (surprise meal!) After lunch in the town we will take you to your Riad. Arriving in Merzouga, your camel driver will be waiting for you to cross the Sahara on camels and watch the sunset over the dunes. You will continue by camel to your camp in the middle of the desert where a comfortable private jaima (tent) will be waiting for you. Dinner in a tent in the desert and after dinner there is a bonfire and drums, music and Berber songs. Afterwards, I recommend that you stay outside the tents so you can see the desert sky, which is spectacular, there are many, many shooting stars and it seems almost unreal because of how illuminated it is.
After breakfast we go to Rissani. Here you will really see another culture and if there is a market that day you will have the opportunity to see the real trade of Southeast Morocco. Leaving this interesting town behind we will go towards Erfoud, a very beautiful Oasis town and then we will cross the palm grove of Touroug until we reach the Todra Gorges – a spectacular canyon that is quite popular with rock climbers. We will have lunch here and then you will have time to explore this wonder of nature. Once they are ready we will leave for the Dades Valley or Valley of the Roses. After dinner and rest in your Riad.
After breakfast we will take you to a viewpoint where you can see the entire Dades Valley. After taking photos we will take the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.” We will make several stops to appreciate the beautiful landscapes and the Valley of Roses. After passing the Skoura Palm Grove we will stop in Ouarzazate and visit the Kasbah Taourirt and the Atlas Studios. We will continue our way until we reach the famous UNESCO Heritage Site Ait-Ben-Haddou. We will explore this fortified city and then you will have free time to rest and have lunch. After lunch we will begin our journey to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas and the imposing Tizi n'Tichka and resting in your Riad.
After breakfast they have a city tour to get to know the city. You can tour the souks, the Medina and its narrow terracotta-colored alleys with a local guide, etc. In the afternoon rest in Riyadh.
This day they have the morning free to visit what they liked most about the city and the Medina. Then our services end when we drop you off at the airport.
